GLPG facilitated the successful disposal of Section 106 affordable housing units within a large-scale housing development in Felsted, Essex.
The scheme included both Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership homes.
The Affordable rented units were sold to a well-established non-profit RP in Essex, while the Shared Ownership homes were sold to a for-profit RP in London.
The transaction was agreed on a golden brick basis, providing the developer with early financial certainty and the RPs with delivery control from construction onwards.
Our team managed the sales process, coordinated between parties, and ensured compliance with planning obligations.
Our role ensured that the traditional RP secured long-term rented homes aligned with their management strategy. At the same time, the for-profit RP acquired high-quality shared ownership homes suitable for their investment model.
