Development Facility for Chigwell Mixed-Use Scheme

GLPG’s Agency Team advised on the sale of a former Volvo dealership site located directly opposite Chigwell Station. The existing structure was demolished to make way for a new-build scheme comprising 35 private sale apartments, parking, and ground-floor commercial space.
Our Capital Advisory Team arranged a circa £18 million development facility to fund the project, working closely with the client and lender to structure the facility in line with the project’s requirements and delivery timeline.
The scheme reflects the optimisation of a well-located but underused site to deliver new residential and commercial space in a highly connected location.
